PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION:

Bedford Primary School offers a variety of preschool opportunities. 

These programs receive funds from the local, state, and federal levels. Programs are contingent upon funding & program locations are subject to change. Eligibility to participate is based on state and federal guidelines. Enrollment begins with children who are most eligible based on the application process.

Kindergarten Registration:

Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year has begun. Families register at their assigned elementary school. Any child who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2025 may enter kindergarten.

Documents Needed for Kindergarten Registration

  • Original birth certificate
  • Updated physical
  • Immunization record
  • Proof of residency (copy of lease agreement, mortgage statement, or real estate tax document)

Forms to obtain these records are also available at Bedford Primary School. All forms must be completed and returned to the school before the child can begin class in the fall.

Registering for school on time helps every child, teacher, and school to be ready when school begins.

USE OF DIGITAL DEVICES IN THE CLASSROOM

The VDOE released Health and Safety Guidelines in June regarding the appropriate use of digital devices in the classroom. The guidelines address three main components to support teaching and learning:
• Device use in the PK-12 classroom
• Screen time and necessity of breaks
• Ergonomics and posture
