Notes From Your School Nurse

Remember the most important way we can keep from spreading germs is proper handwashing.

Please perform morning health checks on your child before sending them to school. Be aware of symptoms such as, but not limited to: fever, sore throat, cough, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. When making a decision to keep your child home or send them, please err on the side of caution. You can use the graphic below when in doubt:
I need to stay home if: Fever- Temperature of 100 degrees or more in the past 24 hours, Vomiting- in the past 24 hours, Diarrhea- in the past 24 hours, Rash- body rash with itching or fever, Head lice- Itchy head or active head lice, Eye Infections- Redness, itching, or crusty drainage from eye, Hospital stay or ER visit. I am ready to go back to work or school when: Fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications, have had no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours, free from itching or fever related to rash or have been seen by a medical provider and cleared to return, Have been seen by a medical provider for eye infections and cleared to return, Have documentation from the Hospital or ER to return.

If you are called to pick up your child, they need to be picked up in less than an hour. 
Please make sure all emergency contact information stays up to date.
