Success for All

For the 2017-2018, Bedford Primary School will continue to implement the Success For All (SFA) reading program. This is a comprehensive program designed to promote student success with a major focus on literacy skills.  Students will learn through active and engaging instruction based on research-proven strategies.

HOW CAN FAMILIES HELP?
  • Ensure your child is at school on time every day
  • Check your child's folder nightly for reading homework and complete the homework
  • Return all materials to school daily
  • Attend school events and be involved
  • Communicate with your child's teacher to ask questions and learn how to help your child succeed!

HOW DOES SFA WORK?

All students receive 90 minutes of reading instruction daily. An enrichment and tutoring time is provided as well.  Kindergarten students remain with their homeroom teacher and literacy skills are interwoven throughout the day. First grade students will be grouped according to their specific reading level and may go to other teacher's classrooms to participate in leveled reading instruction.
